Bermante Staircase – Wall Art

$ 46.00$ 299.00

One of the Vatican’s main architectural gems, the Bramante Staircase spirals upward in geometric grace. Built in 1505 and designed by architect Donato Bramante for Pope Julius II, the staircase is actually a “Heli ramp” which enabled the pope to reach the papal apartment by means of his horse-drawn carriage. Pope Julius II commissioned several famous works of art for the Vatican, including hiring Michelangelo to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
